From the 2nd to the 30th of October 2025, the Family Festival confirms Alghero as a family-friendly city, with a month of unique events dedicated to young and old alike.
The Alghero Family Festival is the Municipality of Alghero’s family festival, an event that has established itself over the years as one of the most significant events for the local community. Now in itsΒ sixth yearΒ , it presents itself as a veritable hub of events, activities, and opportunities dedicated to families: celebrations, conferences, institutional meetings, sporting and cultural events, workshops for children and adolescents, training opportunities for the educational community, and in-depth discussions on topics related to family well-being.
It is organised and coordinated by the Office for Family Policies of the Municipality of Alghero , entrusted in agreement with the National Association of Large Families (ANFN) , in collaboration with the Alghero Foundation , the Porto Conte Park and numerous other local stakeholders, all committed to promoting the centrality of the family as an irreplaceable resource of the community and an instrument of growth and development.
The Festival is in fact one of the actions of the Municipal Plan for Family Policies , which provides for cross-sector interventions with the aim of promoting the well-being of families and supporting the realization of their life plans.
Thanks to this process, the Municipality of Alghero has been awarded the Family-Friendly Municipality certification by the Autonomous Province of Trento , a recognition that recognizes its virtuous commitment to family policies. Alghero is now the leader of a network of Family Municipalities in Italy and Europe, demonstrating its commitment to building a more inclusive community, attentive to the real needs of families and capable of generating shared well-being.
