The “Caffè dei Bimbi” project, promoted by Anfn Siena (National Association for the Large Families) will be officially inaugurated on Monday, June 23 at 6 pm at the Bar Il Palio, with the patronage of the Municipality of Siena and the support of the ACAREF Foundation.
The ceremony will be attended by Councilor Micaela Papi, ACAREF President Silvio Sivieri and Anfn President Alfredo Caltabiano, together with other local authorities.
The initiative, inspired by a culture of hospitality and respect for the needs of families, provides for the participating bars to offer children a free hot drink served in a cup – based on milk, barley or chocolate – the “Caffè dei Bimbi”. In exchange, parents will be able to leave a symbolic offer of 1 euro, entirely intended for research projects on Atax syndromes, through the ACAREF ETS Foundation.
In addition to the solidarity aspect, the goal is to create a virtuous network between merchants, citizens and institutions to make Siena even more family-friendly, in line with the Family Friend Municipality certification.
“We want to give value to every gesture of care towards children and families,” explain the promoters. “Offering a coffee even to the little ones means including them, making them protagonists of the social and commercial life of the city.”
All participating venues will display posters with the project logo, and it will be possible to follow the developments of the initiative on the website www.famiglienumerose.org/caffebimbi and on the social channels of Anfn Siena.
