President of ELFAC presented in Poland the European Network of Family-Friendly Municipalities

On Tuesday, May 28, 2019 Regina Maroncelli, president of ELFAC, attended the Conference  “Instruments to support and promote family-friendly governments“ at the  Residence Hotel Belvedere in Warsaw.

The conference was coorganized by the Presidency of Poland and the Polish Association of Large Families “Trzy Plus”. Mrs. Maroncelli presented the European Network of Family Friendly Municipalities to a distinctive audience of Municipalities presidents and officials.

In the debate that followed the speech, each municipality talked about its best practices in family policies, such as local family cards, family centres and family friendly touristic services.

Mrs. Joanna Krupska, president of the Polish Large Families Association, announced the intention to set up a local national network of family friendly municipalities with the help of the cities attending the meeting, among them Szcezcin, pilot city of the European Network of Family Frienldy Municipalities , Cracow and Poznan.

The event was co-organized by the mining company leader in copper and silver production KGHM Polska Miedź S.A and the Employers’ Organization. 

Two days later, the city of Legnica, Glogow and Polkowice joined the European Network of Family Friendly Municipalities. On May 30, in Legnica, (Poland) during the conference “Finances for the development of local authorities” Regina Maroncelli, president of Elfac, handed the three polish cities of the mining area the acceptance letter as a members of the Network.
