Viseu is one of the main cities in the center region of Portugal. with 510km2 and 97,249 inhabitants, the county is made up of 25 parishes. It has several infrastructures, organizations and companies to which it adds a built heritage of historical and cultural richness.
Demographically the increase in the number of elderly people and the decrease of the number of young people, are indicators that indicate a trend towards demographic aging, so the municipality designed and implemented a family-friendly local policy, embodied in measures aimed at the promoting the increase of birth rates, improving the quality of life, reconciling work and family life and social cohesion.
