Veszprém is often called as The City of the Queens due to its rich historical past and cultural background. The old town is inevitably one of the most important heritage site of Hungary.
The town is located was bulit on seven hills and located in the middle of the Transdanubean region, in close proximity to Lake Balaton and Bakony Hills. Today the town is the most livable place in Hungary according to a recent survey on the SDG indicators.
The town has a lot to offer for its residents as many cultural facilites, sport opportunities are open to welcome visitors and many green areas are located within its borders. Veszprem is an innovation and educational center and holds the title of the European Capital of Cultre 2023.
