The municipality of Spormaggiore with the hamlets of Belfort, Fabbrica, Maurina, Meano, Sedriago and Seghe has about 1.280 inhabitants and is situated at 665 m above sea level.
The village can be reached in a few minutes from the “San Michele all’Adige” exit of the A22 Highway, and overlooks the Val di Non as a suggestive balcony. It is considered one of the “gates” of the Adamello Brenta Natural Park and hosts the Park Visitor Center and the “Belpark” wildlife area a suggestive park built in a wooded area of the town.
In Spormaggiore there are the evocative ruins and the well-preserved tower of Castel Belfort, the Grotta of Lovara, a testimony of geological and glacial phenomena. Starting from Spormaggiore, there are several mtb routes and hiking path, some of which leat to the Brenta Dolomites. From here you can also quickly reach the calble car and chairlifts of the Paganella ski area and the Molveno Lake.
