Roncegno Terme is a little town with 3.000 inhabitants nestled in a valley called Valsugana in the Trentino Region, surrounded by mountains that protects it from cold winds. The site is rich in ferrous curative springs.
Since 2008, the municipality is a certified family friendly municipality. In 2011, Comune di Roncegno Terme acted as starter and leader of the “Valsugana family district”, a set of entities that organize their activities with a family friendly approach that as today counts more than 100 members.
The area is known for apple growing, cheese production and especially for the processing of edible chestnuts.
Every year, the “Chestnut Festival” is held during the last weekend in October as a tribute to the fruit that saved rhe region from famine in the Middle Ages.
