Penacova is a small village in the middle of Portugal, which is not an inland village, nor a coastal village, but it has some characteristics of an inland village, such as aging of population and low birth rates.
To fight against this issues, we have some measures, that lead us wining the prize of the Municipality Family Friendly, for example, we give birth support to the families, we give psychological support to individuais, families and couples, we help immigrants with juridical and social support, and for those families that live with extreme poverty we have a space where these people are authorized to go and ask for basic necessities, according to some defined rules.
These are some measures that we have in our Municipality, so that we can have people living happily here, and with the right conditions to raise families.
