Massimeno is a characteristic alpine village that stands on a terrace located at 860 m above sea level in the heart of Alta Val Rendena.
In addition to being the smallest municipality in Trentino, Massimeno is also the only one of the Rendena villages not to have arisen along the course of the Sarca river, but distributed around a large square with a view of the valley and the Adamello-Presanella group.
Despite the small extension of the town, the municipal territory is quite extensive, including large high mountain areas. Massimeno also offers interesting alternatives for those who love walking at high altitudes, from the quiet walk with light ups and downs to the most demanding walks suitable for all trekking enthusiasts.
