
Góis Council is part of the Central Region of Portugal, is located in the district of Coimbra, in Pinhal Interior Norte and has a vast territorial area estimated at 263 Km2.
Crossed by the Ceira River, delimited and separated from Beira Serra Interior, by the Lousã and Açor mountains, the Municipality of Góis as 190 villages distributed among its 4 parishes: Alvares, União de Freguesias do Cadafaz and Colmeal, Góis and Vila Nova do Ceira.
In the latest censuses, the municipality of Góis has a total of 3,811 inhabitants, of which 1,488 are elderly and 318 are children/young people aged 0 to 14 years. A total of 1630 families were also registered in these last censuses.
