Gmina Polkowice is an urban-rural administrative district in Polkowice County, within the Lower Silesian Voivodeship in southwestern Poland. The seat of the gmina is the town of Polkowice, located approximately 85 kilometers northwest of the regional capital Wrocław. The gmina covers an area of 158.8 square kilometers and has a population of around 28,000 residents.
It is known for its rich mining history, particularly copper mining, which significantly contributes to the local economy.
