The Region Bordered to the north by the hills of “Serra de Montejunto” and to the south by the “Ribatejana” plain, Alenquer has a very characteristic landscape.
The municipality is a clear transition between the Extremadura countryside and the plain, where agriculture is predominant and the ancestral basis of the economy.
