13 Convention of Family-Friendly Municipalities of Trentino Province (Italy)
May 3 | 09:30 - 13:30 UTC+1

Registrations are open for the thirteenth Convention which sees the “Family in Trentino” certified municipal administrations as protagonists. 104 Trentino municipalities have decided to invest in active policies in favor of families, in support of the birth rate and young people and the goal is important given that over 95% of the Trentino population resides in a certified municipality. The municipal family plans produce hundreds of concrete actions every year, starting from the introduction of discounted rates for new infrastructures, from services dedicated to families with children to educational-cultural events and initiatives. The provincial councilor for health, social policies, disability and family, Stefania Segnana, will participate in the convention.
The XIII Convention of family-friendly Municipalities is a precious opportunity to discuss municipal policies for the well-being of the family by identifying the goals achieved and the development prospects outlined by the Provincial Government within the “Strategic plan for the family and the birth rate” approved in November 2019. The event is promoted by the Agency for social cohesion in synergy with the Municipality of Cembra Lisignago, the Family District of the Cembra Valley and the community of the valley.
The Municipalities that have obtained the “Family in Trentino” certification as of 30 April 2023 are 104 and another 20 municipalities are in the process of acquiring the brand.
The convention will describe the demographic, socio-economic contexts of Trentino with particular reference to social cohesion and well-being indicators. Various testimonies including that on sustainable tourism in the Terre Alte by Vera Rossi, councilor of the Municipality of Altavalle; the “Casa dei Banai” and the experience of cohousing will be presented by Isabella Ravanelli councilor of the Municipality of Albiano; the experience of Villa Corniole, a women’s cellar, by the Pellegrini family.
The convention will be enriched by the academic-scientific contribution of Ilaria Vigorelli, professor at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross and President of the Marco Vigorelli Foundation, and of Carlo Buzzi, professor at the Department of Sociology of the University of Trento. The works will end with the presentation of the analysis of the impact produced in Trentino in the last 10 years by the “Friends of the family” Municipalities, by Mariangela Franch, professor in the Economics and Management Department of the University of Trento.
At the end, the new “Family in Trentino” certifications will be delivered to the municipalities of Campodenno, Cembra Lisignago, Aldeno and Ala.
