Under the title “Family, the face of humanity”, IFFD, the International Federation for Family Development held its 20th World Congress of Family Enrichment in London, last 19th and 20th October. More than 1,000 delegates attended the main Congress, while 250 other young people participated in the Personal Project Congress and around 300 the World Meeting of Leaders.
During the Congress, organized by IFFD with the UN Focal Point on the Family, a meeting was also held with representatives of seven international organizations such as FEFAF (Sweden), Generations United (USA), NOE (Hungary), DIFI (Quatar) and ELFAC, with its president, mrs Regina Maroncelli. Aim of the meeting was to coordinate the preparations of the 30th Anniversary of the International Year of the Family which will occur in 2024.
“Many large families are involved in IFFD’ s family enrichment course, all over Europe and the world- said mrs. Maroncelli- We share the same passion for the family and children and the same concern about its protection and empowerment. I believe that is crucial for family oriented associations like ours to coordinate and work together, each with its own carisma and specificity, to build a better environment for families.”
