This measure refers to primary and high school students with the aim of facilitating students’ education, which is particularly important for families with more children. Also, this measure is helping in reducing financial gap between students.
5. Description - overwiew
City of Zagreb is insuring textbooks and workbooks for all primary and high school students regardless on theirs family financial status. This measure is component of Zagreb’s model for child and family care as a contribution to national demographic politics. This measure started in school year 2004/2005 until 2006/2007. It was introduced again in school year 2013/2014 and is still active. Over 97,000 students received free textbooks from the City of Zagreb in 2018.
